Deloitte Investigates 300 Senior Executives
Deloitte released the 2022 Corporate Sustainable Development Action Report, which investigates 300 senior executives in accounting, finance, law and sustainable development to understand their views on ESG.
The main points of this report on sustainable development actions are:
- 57% of senior executives said that they had established a cross functional ESG working group in the company to promote the strategic focus of ESG, and 42% of senior executives were taking measures. In last year’s report, only 21% of respondents established cross functional ESG working groups in the company;
- 61% of executives are ready to disclose the greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 1, 76% are ready to disclose the greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 2 (47% in 2021), and 37% are ready to disclose the greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 3 (21% in 2021). However, 86% of senior executives said that Scope 3 still has challenges in disclosure;
- 35% of senior executives believe that the quality of ESG information is the biggest challenge for sustainable development (25% in 2021), and 25% of senior executives believe that obtaining ESG data is the biggest challenge (32% in 2021);
