Introduction to Sustainable Investment Screening Tool
The Sustainable Investment Screening Tool can be accessed from the Bloomberg Terminal by typing SUST. Its filtering conditions are customized by the user and are divided into three parts: sustainability goals, exclusion or non-harmful criteria, and governance requirements. Investors can enter their personalized investment preferences, and the screening tool will calculate the proportion of assets in a portfolio, fund or index that match their investment preferences, as well as detailed data on the corresponding parts of these assets.
In addition to investment, investors can also use sustainable investment screening tools to check whether investment products comply with regulatory requirements, such as the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the UK Sustainability Disclosure Requirements. For example, investors can check whether a fund meets the SFDR’s sustainable fund classification. Bloomberg is able to calculate the fund’s sustainable investment percentage by analyzing 26,000 funds based on the SFDR information disclosure template.
In addition, Bloomberg’s Sustainable Finance Data License enables investors to access basic data for sustainable investment screening tools, such as a company’s potential SDG impact and Principal Adverse Impact according to SFDR.
