Introduction to ESG Academy
International accounting firm KPMG announced the establishment of an ESG education institution (ESG Academy), aiming to provide ESG and sustainability-related courses and training to market participants.
ESG Academy will cooperate with global ESG practice experts and academic researchers to provide users with a digital self-study experience and award relevant certificates upon completion of the course.

Courses Offered by ESG Academy
Currently, KPMG is cooperating with world-renowned academic institutions, focusing on providing courses in the following four areas:
- State of the Planet and its People.
- Corporate Sustainability Transformation.
- Capital Markets, ESG Responsibility and Regulation.
- Climate Risk and Decarbonization.
In terms of course design, KPMG has established a digital self-study platform LEAP (Learning Enablement & Analytics Platform) to provide a better educational experience.
Sample Course Offered by ESG Academy
ESG Academy provides a sample course – Sustainable Finance and the Role of Capital Markets in the USA on its official website. This course mainly covers topics related to sustainable finance and sustainable investment, and introduces the relationship between sustainable development and corporate financial performance.
ESG Academy has set up videos for each part of the course and provided relevant notes in PDF format. After completed these contents, the behaviors are recorded on the website and users can obtain course certificates.
