Johannesburg | Nairobi, January 24, 2025: The speakers and dates for the much anticipated Africa Sustainability summit have now been confirmed. Dubbed the 5th Annual Africa ESG, Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance Summit and Expo 2025 the summit will be hosted on the 27-28 Feb 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa. The summit which is the leading ecosystem on the continent at the intersection of Sustainable Development, Climate Change, ESG, Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance is Africa’s most comprehensive and diverse forum addressing critical interventions and solutions necessary in achieving sustainable development on the continent.
Hosted annually across Africa, the 2-day summit and expo will bring together key sustainability stakeholders, experts, academics, goverments, development finance institutions, reserachers and thought leaders drawn from Southern Africa, the African continent and beyond.
Speaking during the announcement, the convener and host of this continental showpiece Mr Steve Munyao on behalf of the organising committee said, “As part of the Africa series, we will also have the forum hosted in Southern, Eastern, West and North Africa in 2025” He further called upon key stakeholders to participate saying, “Iam keen to engage with you key stakeholders and explore potential opportunities to partner, collaborate and engage towards shared outcomes, leveraging on the forums key stakeholders, footprint, networks, partners and audiences”. He further emphasized the need to be cognisant of the risks presented by climate change and noted that, ” climate change presents a dire and existential threat to the planet and organisations, companies and economies world wide need to address climate risks as a matter of urgency”
